JaxFusion moving to downtown Jax
The JaxFusion user group will be moving to downtown Jacksonville. I do not have the next meeting scheduled yet, but the meetings will be held at the Modis building in downtown Jacksonville.
The meetings have been held at Vurv in the Deerwood parkway area, but we have decided to move to a more central location.
I want to thank Vurv for letting me have the meetings there for the last two years. I will have more details on the new location on the JaxFusion website soon.

There are a number of reasons for the move.
First let me say that I am extremely grateful to Vurv for letting me have the meetings there over the last couple of years. At one point Vurv even was paying for the meetings to be held at the local community college here in Jacksonville.
Here are my reasons. I no longer work at Vurv. At one point I think 80 percent of the ColdFusion developers in Jackonville worked at Vurv. There has been a lot of turnover there over the last year, so many of the developers are now working at other companies and do not feel comfortable coming back to that location. Another reason is that I think a lot of ColdFusion developers felt that if they went to Vurv, that the company might be trying to recruit them.
The new location is in downtown Jacksonville, hopefully more central for most of the developers in town.
I hope to have next meeting scheduled this week.
Thank you,
David Fekke.
